Spondylitis Treatment Providers

Arthritis (sandhi vatam or aama vatam)
  • Arthritis is a common destructive, auto immune disease mainly of two types. Osteoarthritis affects big joints. When the synovial membrane degenerates, it affects joint movements causing inflammation and pain. In rheumatoid arthritis, inflammation comes first with fever. It affects almost all joints and blood stream..
  • Arthritis can occur at any age and can also affect other organs and lead to deformity.
Cervical / Lumbar Spondylitis Treatment

Cervical spondylitis treatment is a common degenerative condition of the cervical (neck)/ lumbar(lower back) spine that most likely is caused by ageing, repetitive stress injury due to wrong body postures. It is mostly seen in working professionals from IT and BPO sectors who have long sitting hours. It can cause pain, dizziness, vomiting, weakness in shoulders, upper limbs, lower back and persistent stiffness.

Slipped Disc (Vata Roga)

Also called: Herniated/ Bulging /Compressed / Herniated intervertebral / Prolapsed/Ruptured disc.

The spine consists of 26 vertebrae arranged in a special manner. A soft gelatinous substance(intervertebral disc) provides cusioning and support to it. If this disc is displaced or ruptured can cause moderate - severe back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, numbmess, tingling sensation of limbs, muscle spasms and weakness.

Frozen Shoulder
  • Frozen shoulder is also known as adhesive capsulitis. It is a condition characterized by stiffness and pain in shoulder joint. As the condition worsens, shoulder's range of motion becomes markedly reduced. Frozen shoulder usually affects one shoulder at a time, although some people may eventually develop frozen shoulder in the opposite shoulder.
  • We offer treatments with self-care efforts. Most people with frozen shoulder eventually regain nearly full shoulder range of motion and strength as signs and symptoms improve.

Paralysis (Pakshaghat) Treatment Also called: Hemiplegia, Palsy, Paraplegia, Quadriplegia
  • Paralysis means the loss of normal muscle functioning of the body leading to disability. It can be partial or complete. It can occur on one or both sides. One, two or all the limbs may be affected by this condition. If the lower limbs are affected it is termed paraplegia and if all the limbs are paralysed it is termed as quadriplegia.
  • Major reason could be due to strokes, injuries to the spinal cord and diseases.
High Blood Pressure (Rakta samvardhanam) Also called: HBP, HTN, Hypertension
  • Blood pressure is the lateral pressure exerted by the blood on the walls of arteries. It has two sets of readings namely systolic (when heart pumps the blood with each beat), diastolic( when the heart is at rest). Usually 120/80 mmHg is considered normal blood pressure. A systolic pressure =>140mmHg and diastolic pressure of =>90 mmHg is considered high blood pressure.
  • It is usually symptomless but can lead to stroke, heart diseases, bleeding from nose or other sites, kidney diseases, blindness etc.
Depression (Vishaad)

Also called: Clinical depression, Dysthymic disorder, Major depressive disorder, Unipolar depression.

It is a serious medical condition that involves the brain. The symptoms of worthlessness, mood disorders, suicidal tendencies, loss of interests in pleasure activities, weight problem, over or under sleep, sadness.

Sciatica (Gridhrasi)

Sciatica is a symptom of a problem with the sciatic nerve. This nerve originates from the lumbar spine and travels through lower back and provides innervations to muscles of buttocks, back of thigh, knee, and lower leg. If this nerve is impinged due to lumbar disc herniation or compression or fracture of pelvis, sciatica is manifested in the regions of its nerve supply. Pain, weakness, tingling sensations, numbness are the commonest symptoms associated with sciatica

Chronic Sinusitis

Sinusitis means that the empty spaces surrounding nose, face and skull gets inflamed due to allergies, nasal problems, common cold etc. This inflammation can hinder the normal mucous flow of the sinus and cause severe headaches, fever, fatigue, congestion and cough. It can last from a few days to even months.

Asthma (Swasa roga)

Asthma is a chronic disease of the lungs in which the airway gets swollen due to allergen. This swelling increases the mucous secretion in the airway causing obstruction and shortedness of breath, wheezing, coughing. An acute attack of asthma can lead to severe deprivation of oxygen to vital organs like brain and cause immediate deaths.

Migraine (ardhav bhedaka or suryavarta)

Migraine is a condition desribed as throbbing, pulsating pain in and around head area. It is a painful headache leading to nausea, vomiting and other problems. Migraine could be triggered by food, excitement, music, sleeplessness, stress and anxiety. Hormonal fluctuations also cause migranous attack in some women.

Infertility (Vandhyatva)

Infertility means inability to conceive even after a year of trying. It is seen that a third cases of infertility is due to man, another third due to woman and the rest one third may complain infertility due to both partners or for no reason at all. Repeated miscarriages is also a major cause of infertility.

Piles (Arsas) Also called: Hemorrhoids

Piles is a condition of the lower rectum in which the blood vessels of rectum gets engorged and later bleed. It is manifested by consipation, pregnancy, diarrhoea etc. It may be of dry type as well as of the bleeding type.

Psoriasis (Charma roga)

Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition. There are five types, each with unique signs and symptoms. It appears as patches of raised, reddish skin covered by silvery-white scale. These patches, or plaques, frequently form on the elbows, knees, lower back and scalp. However, the plaques can occur anywhere on the body. Some people also have joint related problems (psoriatic arthritis) and swelling. Psoriasis is a chronic, meaning lifelong, condition because there is no cure in modern medicine.

Ankylosing Spondylitis (Vata roga)

It is type of arthritis of spine. It is an autoimmune disorder that causes back pain, stiffness and later disability. The discs between the vertebra gets swollen up and cause limitation in the movement. It starts in late adolescence. With time, the stiffness increases and the vertebrae fuses together. It may worsen or improve or stop on its own.

Acne (Yauvana Pidika) Also called: Pimples, Zits

Acne occurs when the follicles under the skin gets clogged up due to excessive secretion of sebum(lubricates the hair). This secretion gets infected by bacteria and other pathogens leading to a painful, pus filled erruption on skin. This breaks on its own and leads to scars on the face. It is common with teenages and youngsters due to hormonal changes during early teenage years. Stress can worsen the condition.

Kidney Stones (Asmari) Also called: Urolithiasis

Kidney stones are usually formed in the kidneys from the substances in the urine. The stone varies in size and forms ranging from grains of sand to sizes as large as pearl. The shape also differs. The symptoms are pain in the lower back, radiaring to thigh and groin, painful and or burning urination, blood in urine, fever with chills etc. the pain varies in various degrees.

Diabetes mellitus (Madhumeha)
  • Insulin dependent or juvenile diabetes(type 1) / non insulin dependent diabetes (type 2)
  • Diabetes mellitus is a condition in which the blood sugar levels are high due to low or non secretion of insulin hormone, increased frequency of urination, increased appetite, excessive thirst and negative nitrogen balance. It is a condition which affect eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart, brain and can even cause Gangrene
